Preparatory meeting  Berlin

October 20th-23rd 2022

Two teachers from Poland, Basque Country and Germany met at Tesla School to discuss about the project. Serbia partner assisted virtually.

First mobility Berlin

November 20th-26th 2022

Students from Poland, Germany, Basque Country and Serbia participated in the first mobility in Berlin, They carried out activities related to democracy.

Second mobility Warsaw

March  26th -1st April 2023

Students from Poland, Germany, Basque Country and Serbia participated in the second mobility in Berlin, They learnt about Polish culture, created projects with waste material and worked the democracy topic,

Job Shadowing Warsaw

May  26th -2nd  June 2023

Alaia Saenz ( philosophy teacher) and Gemma Gutiérrez ( coordinator of Erasmus +) started a job shadowing in Szkola Podstawowa in Warsaw. The jobshadowing dealt with active learning, cooperative learning , group work and project based learning.

Basque Country mobility 

November 25th / 26th -1st/ 2nd  2023

Students from Poland, Germany, Basque Country and Italian  participated in the Basque Country mobility at Elexalde school. They learnt about Basque culture, designed acrostics on democracy and environment. They visited Gernika and Bilabao and they talked with the mayor of Galdakao and enjoyed Basque music and its history behind. 

Dublin training course February 2024

February  18th / 24th February 2024

The coordinator of the project and the English teacher from Elexalde high school attended a course in Dublin " Maximising the Digital Competence in Teaching and Learning" in the National College of Dublin . As one of our objectives of the Erasmus plan was to enhance the use of ICTs , this course was aimed at the use of them  for the students of our school and us.

Caserta mobility March 2024

March   9th / 15thMarch  2024

Twelve students from the Erasmus + group and two teachers , the French teacher and the Spanish language teacher visited Mattei high school in Caserta and participated of all the activities organised by  the italian partners .

They visited the Royal Palace of Caserta, Vesubio, Pompeii and Naples. they also created an ecological logo and they pput in T-shirts. They also learnt to be respetful with the ue of the Internet.

job shadowing   Iasi  ( Romania) September  2024

September    22th / 27 September   2024

Iratxe Cuñado ( English teacher and Erasmus assistance) and Gemma Gutiérrez ( coordinator of Erasmus+ ) started a job shadowing in National College of Iasi in Romania. IN the job shadowing the two teachers learnt the working of the school, the Romanian educational system and the different Erasmus projects the school deals with .They also observed different lessons and learnt about Romanian memoric history.

Job shadowing   Viimsi  ( Estonia) October  2024

October     28th October  /1st November   2024

Edurne Ruiz( English teacher )  and Gemma Gutiérrez ( coordinator of Erasmus+ ) started a job shadowing in Viismi Upper Secondary school  In this job shadowing the two teachers learnt about the innovative  Estonian educational system and Viimsi school whose values are presence, collaboration, openess mutual respect and ongoing development.

 Elexalde school organised Caserta Italian mobility   December  2024

From 9th to 13th December 2024, Elexalde High School hosted 6 students and two teachers from Caserta ( Italy) and organised a lot of activities related to sustainability, historical memory and knowledge of Basque Country culture . They were also welcomed by the major of Galdakao and learnt the importance of recycling being protagonist themselves.

Lithuamian students' mobility  April.2025

From 28 th April to 4th May  2025, six  students  and two teachers from Elexalde High School took part in an Erasmus+ mobility in Kaunas, Lithuania, alongside peers from Latvia and Lithuania. They stayed with host families, joined international workshops, visited Vilnius and Trakai, and shared cultural activities. It was an unforgettable week of learning and connection with European values of respect and sustainability.

Caserta students mobility May 2025

From 5 th  to  8th May  two teachers From May 24th to 31st, eight students and two teachers from the English and History departments took part in a mobility at Mattei Institute in Caserta, Italy.

They lived with host families, explored cultural sites like Sorrento, Vesuvius, and Pompeii, and learned about responsible digital citizenship. The visit ended with a fashion show themed around Vietnam, organized by the host school.

It was a highly enriching experience.

Job Shadowing Helsinki October 2025

 From September 29th to October 2nd, 2025, Gemma Gutiérrez (Erasmus+ coordinator) and Edurne Ruiz (English teacher at Elexalde High School) participated in a Job Shadowing at Mäkelänrinteen Lukio, a secondary school in Helsinki, Finland. Thy learn about the organization and functioning of the school. They also attended different lessons . Besides, they participated in meetings with the school leadership team and student counsellors, gaining insight into the Finnish educational system and guidance resources. They interacted with international students and tutors, learning about the experience .

This experience allowed them to learn  about Finnish education and innovative teaching practices, enhancing their professional development and contributing to the Erasmus+ projects at Elexalde School.

Trainingcourse   Malta  March  2026

 From March  29th to October 2nd, 2026, Gemma Gutiérrez (Erasmus+ coordinator) andIratxe Cuñado   (English teacher at Elexalde High ) School  participated in a training course on AI for classroom exploring  the frontiers   of ICT.

They  learned how to use AI tools to support teaching and learning. The course focused on creating educational materials, improving digital skills, and using AI responsibly. It provided practical ideas for integrating AI into the classroom.

After the course,  the School Staff of Elexalde HS  was informedaboutitsothatthey could use it  in their lessons             

Students Mobility/Job Shadowing  Elexalde April.202

As part of the 2025-1-ES01-KA121-SCH-000309320 project, students from Croatia and Lithuania came to the Basque Country in April 2026 to share cultural and educational experiences with Elexalde students.

During their stay, they discovered Basque culture, language, music and traditions, and visited Gernika, Mundaka and Bilbao. They also explored the historical memory of Galdakao by learning about the Iron Belt and visiting the town hall. In addition, they took part in activities focused on biodiversity and the impact of invasive species.

Working in international groups, the students practised English, developed digital skills and promoted collaboration. 

On the other hand,      a Croatian science teacher participated in a job shadowing mobility at Elexalde High School.
The teacher observed classes in Biology, Anatomy, Mathematics, English, Technology and Universal Literature.
The main objective was to explore teaching methodologies, classroom management and student participation.
The mobility also provided an opportunity to learn about innovative educational projects and the Basque education system.
This experience encouraged the exchange of good practices and ideas to improve teaching and learning in both schools.

Students Mobility   Rome  May  2026

 Fromur Erasmus+ exchange, part of project 2025-1-ES01-KA121-SCH-000309320, continues to bring Spanish and Italian students together through education, cultural discovery and friendship.

From 9 to 15 May 2026, our students and teachers travelled to Italy, where they were welcomed by Liceo Joyce in Ariccia. During the week, students attended lessons with their Italian partners, discovered the Italian education system and, most importantly, stayed with Italian host families, sharing everyday experiences and learning about their customs, traditions and way of life. These moments helped them practise languages, develop independence and build strong international friendships.

The cultural programme included visits to some of Rome’s most famous landmarks, such as the Colosseum, the Roman Forum, Piazza Venezia, the Capitoline Hill, Piazza Navona, the Pantheon, the Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps. They also explored Lake Albano and Castel Gandolfo, discovering Italy’s rich history and artistic heritage.

After a wonderful week full of learning, cultural exchange and unforgettable memories, it was time to say goodbye to our Italian partners and host families. Although returning home was exciting, leaving behind the friendships and experiences we had shared was not easy. We returned with a deeper appreciation of Italian culture and the value of European cooperation.

Students Mobility Croatia  / Job Shadowing May 2026

2025-1-ES01-KA121-SCH-000309320 proiektuaren barruan, gure ikasleek Kroazian esperientzia aberasgarria bizi izan dute, kultura, hezkuntza eta adiskidetasuna uztartuz.

2026ko maiatza⁸ren 23tik 31ra, Kroaziako familiekin bizi izan ziren, bertako ohiturak eta bizimodua ezagutuz. Eskolako jardueretan, hizkuntza-tailerretan, talde-lanetan eta errealitate birtualeko esperientzietan parte hartu zuten, hizkuntza-gaitasunak eta trebetasun digitalak garatzeko.

Horrez gain, Rijeka, Opatija, Zagreb eta Novi Marof bisitatu zituzten, Kroaziako historia, kultura eta ondare naturala ezagutzeko, baita Grebengrad inguruan naturaz gozatzeko ere.

Esperientzia honi esker, ikasleek kultura arteko harremanak sendotu, autonomia garatu eta adiskidetasun berriak sortu zituzten.

Erasmus+ bidaia bat baino gehiago da: elkarrekin ikasteko, aniztasuna baloratzeko eta Europako lankidetza indartzeko aukera paregabea!

Elexalde Students Mobility Students Rome   October  2026

As part of the 2025-1-ES01-KA121-SCH-000309320 project, students from Croatia and Lithuania visited the Basque Country from 14 to 21 October to share cultural and educational experiences with Elexalde students and their host families.

During their stay, they were welcomed by Basque families and discovered the region’s culture, history and traditions. They visited Mundaka and Gernika, including the Gernika Assembly House, and explored Bilbao through a cultural treasure hunt. They also visited Getxo and the Bizkaia Bridge, one of the most important landmarks in the area.

In Galdakao, the students took part in the activity “Galdakao in 10 Photos”, focused on the town’s history, heritage, identity and historical memory. They also met the mayor and attended Spanish and English classes with students from the host school.

The weekend was dedicated to living together and participating in activities with their host families. On the final day, the students completed a questionnaire about their experience and enjoyed Basque music, culture and a traditional hamaiketako before returning to their home countries.
